About HOMEstretch

HOMEstretch is a Cincinnati-based service company that began doing business locally in 2019. The founders, Derek Shewmon and Nick Lobert, are two Cincinnati-born entrepreneurs. Their goal with starting HOMEstretch is to be one source for homeowners that are preparing a home to sell. With multiple service offerings, homeowners can contact us for many needs. 

Quickly, Derek and Nick found that HOMEstretch’s comprehensive service offerings were invaluable to our clients because they were typically going through difficult life transitions. Our goal is to help eliminate the stress of preparing a home to sell while moving, dealing with a loved one’s estate, transitioning into an assisted living home, or downsizing. 

Another focus for HOMEstretch is to be mindful of the company’s environmental impact. Our platform has allowed us to develop a coordinated home clear out process to help our clients remove unwanted items while keeping as much out of landfills as possible. With each client we work on a thorough plan to identify items that have resale value, remain in the home for staging purposes, or move with the client to their new residence. Our specialists then organize clothing or furniture donations, recycle metal or wiring, and find a new home for other select items.

Our team also includes professional painters. A great, simple way to add value to your home before selling is by painting. Fresh paint can really change the dynamic of the space.

HOMEstretch will repair existing flooring, paint certain types of flooring, remove carpet, and install carpet. Most manufacturers and contractors say that the average life span for carpet is around 10 years. In order to put your best foot forward with the potential buyers, replacing the carpet in your home is usually a great idea.
